I have 5! 10c 4000mah 3s packs collecting dust and am trying to put them to use with this project. The problem with this type of low c rating pack is they are to heavy for smaller planes and do not have enough amperage for larger planes (probably why they were so cheap!) So we are going to attempt to convert a 40 size nitro stick, with a 40x42 1050 kv motor and the above pack.

Warning! This project may be a little too "thrown together" for some viewers.

Of course none off the existing nitro mount holes line up with anything, Redrilled the mount the nylon spacers are from ace hardware.

Direct soldered the motor wires to the esc board for lower resistance, drilled the first hole in the wrong spot, wups!

One of my PO'S with electrics is trying to plug everything together in such confined spaces, so I attached the esc T lead to the buldhead, well see if the CA holds!

First dyno.
4240 1050kv motor
3S 10C 4000mah pack
11 x 5.5 prop
2 pounds 10 oz thrust @ 24.4 amps
Very encouraging, there is a lot more to pull from this setup, she may fly after all!
